UPSC CONDUCTS SCRA EXAM WHICH GHOLDS RAILWAY DEPATMENT.
SCRA EXAM IS PUBLISHED EVERY YEAR IN JULY MONTH.
NOW NEXT SCRA EXAM IS CONDUCTED JULY 2013.
LAST DATE OF FILLIN EXAM IS AUG 2013.
DATE of exam in october month.

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice
Eligibility criteria is
candidate Should have passed 12th with one compulsory subject maths.
candidate who are appearing their 12th exam are also eligible
Age criteria is
candidate must be in between 17 to 21 year
age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years
age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

the eligibility criteria=
age limit=minimum age is 17 years and maximum age limit,
educational qualification=intermediate or graduate degree
subjects=a)intermediate/12th (maths and physics,chemistry as one of the subject
b)bachelor degree=maths,physics and chemistry.
candidate must be medically fine

UPSC conducts Only one Exam related Railway which is SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) Exam Every year
Eligibility For SCRA :
Age Limits:
For General candidate 17-21 years
For OBC candidate 17-24 years
For SC/ST candidate 17-26 years
Educational Qualification:
Must be 12th pass from any recognized board with Mathematics and at least one of the subject Physics and Chemistry as subject of the examination.
Date of notification for SCRA is in Oct. month of the year
Now last date has been gone for SCRA 2013

Hello my dear,
UPSC conducted only one exam for Railway and that is SCRA (special class railway apprentice) and minimum qualification for this exam is 10+2 or any one who is studying in same is also eligible. The exam will be conducted in the month January. Next notification for the exam come in the month of july.

The only examination conducted for the Railway department by UPSC is SCRA exam.
SCRA is the Special class railway apprentice examinations.It is conducted once in a year by the UPSC in January month.
Basic requirement for this examinations: 10+2 passed/appearing with PCM as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.Your age should be between 17-21 years to be eligible for the examinations.You must be an Indian citizen.
The SCRA exam for the year 2013 has already been conducted on 20th January.Now you should wait for the SCRA 2014 examinations.Till then do your preparation with the following books and examination a pattern:
