26.05.2013 is the exam date for prelims..... Mains exam will be on 1st dec 2013.... The recruitment for those who have selected will occur next year....

every year have different recruitment . so you may check this year recruitment that is this year.
inorder to join ips apply for upsc civil services examination conducted by upsc, this exam is conducted every year in the month of may,
this year civil services pre examination is held on 26th may 2013. the mains exam will be conducted on 1st december 2013.
