I have done BBA and MBA from deemed universities. am i eligible to appear for UPSC or is there a problem because i have a professional Degree in Graduation?

You are Eligible for UPSC exam.

Exam Eligibility;-

1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university
2-There is no percentage requirement
3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible.
Age limits;-

General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students.

Age relaxation;---

3 years age relaxation for OBC category
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category
10 years for PH candidates

Number Of Attempts;-

4 times for General category Candidates

7 times for OBC candidates

No limit for SC/ST category

Exam pattern;-

Civil services Preliminary exam consist two papers of General studies having 400 marks.

2 hours are given to each General studies papers.

Civil services Mains exam pattern changed from this year.

Now Any Indian Language papers consist 100 marks as qualifying marks.

English language papers consist 100 marks.

Essay papers marks is same as previous.

Now general studies papers consist 500 marks.

There will be last stage of Interview which consist 275 marks instead of 300 marks.

A deemed university is never a point,a university is a university whether it is deemed or not.The only debate or question related to university that can be raised is whether the university has the UGC(University Grants Commission) approval.If the university have the UGC approval,then there is no point of doubt,a deemed university is also a university,so do not worry and just apply for the exam.

The basic qualification for the examination of the UPSC's CSAT is to pass the Bachelor's degree in any discipline at any recognized university. It does not matter whether your University is deemed or not.If the University is UGC recognised and your course in your college(only for professional and technical courses) is AICTE approved,then you are eligible for any exam of Indian govt,State govt or any other private firms.
The basic eligiblity for Civil Services is Graduations from any stream from a recognised University.If yours is so,then there is nothing to bother even if its deemed or whatever.

Percentage of the marks and higher qualification is no matter for the exam.it is beneficial for you.
Age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years.

yes dear you will be eligible for giving the upsc exam even after doing your graduation from private. All you need is that your university should be a recognized indian university. And your age should be in between 21-30 years. Moreover it is not seen in the eligibility that from where did you got your masters degree. All you need is a graduation degree.

Every year the UPSC conducts examinations for recruitment to the Indian Civil Services for the post Given below :

1.Indian Administrative Sevice
2.Indian Civil Service
3.Indian Police Service

Examination is conducted in 3 stages :

1) Civil Service Aptitude Test ( CSAT )
2) Civil Service Examination (Mains) conducted for the candidates selected in the Preliminary Examination.
3) Those who are selected in main Examination are eligible to appear before the interview board.

Eligibility Criteria

1) Nationality :

a) Only Indians are eligible for IPS and IAS.
b) For other services a candidate can be either of following :

- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan

2) Qualifications :

For civil services examination those candidates are eligible which are graduate and also are in last year of graduation.

For that exam no restriction of height and also no restriction of marks.

For that exam it does not matter that in which fields you are passing your graduation only it is required that you should be graduate.
