Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam being an electronics and telecommunication trade?

YES ! Ofcourse you are eligible to appear in Civil Services Exam being a graduate in any stream.
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years age relaxation and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation

General candidates gets 4 attempts at the exams, OBC gets 7 attempts and There is no restriction for SC/ST candidates.

You can become an IAS by clearing the UPSC Civil Services Exams and achieving a good rank in the merit list.

For preparations of Civil Services Exam you have to follow a rigrous regimen where you need to study for 8-9 hours a day.
In the prelims there are two papers -Paper 1 general studies and paper 2- which contains questions from english, general mental abilty etc

I would suggest that if you have time and money you should join a IAS coaching class beacuse they provide you with specific notes as per syallabus, plus you also get a chance to understand each topic in the class
once you go home after the coaching you can revise all the topics
