Required Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Indian Engineering Service Examination
You must have passed full time bachelor's of engineering degree as BE or B.Tech in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university or should be appearing final year examination or should be pursuing final year of BE or B.Tech
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
or
Should have passed both sections A and B of the Institution Examination of the Institution of Engineers
or
Should have passed a graduate membership examination of the institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and if you belongs to reserved category then you will get relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates

Educational Qualifications:

I am sorry but you cannot apply in electronics and telecommunication stream because that branch is not eligible of giving the exam. There are only 4 engineering streams which are eligible for giving the IES exam. They are

Electronics and communication engineering
Civil engineering
Apart from this, there is an age criteria which says that you your age should be in between 21-30 years.
