IES EXAM ELIGIBILITY:

Civil engineering
electrical engineering
electronics and communication engineering

Union Public service commission will hold the IES examination every year.If you are interested in the IES exam you fulfill the following conditions...

You must complete the Engineering from any one of the Following..

Civil Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Electrical engineering

Electronics and telecommunication engineering.

And the age is in 21-30 years.

The Selection procedure consist of 2 sections namely

Written exam and Interview.

Written exam having the 2 sections.one is objective type and another one is essay type...

If you have completed your bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering then you are completely eligible to apply for this examination because Electronics and Telecommunication stream is accepted by UPSC board in application of IES examination but your age also should be limited that is 21 years is minimum and 30 years is maximum and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

This year's Indian Engineering service examination started from 28th of June 2013 and next papers will be continued as per mentioned dates in call letters so this year's application form dates has been over so you should think about to prepare for next year's IES examination and give more than 8 hours everyday to prepare for this examination

If possible then join any good coaching institute because you have about 1 year to prepare and if you follow all instructions and give more time then you can easily score good marks and prepare well and mainly focus at Electronics subject because there will be four papers conducted of this subject and one would be for General Studies so you have to get good command over specialization subject to score good marks and use some good books
