Re: Am I eligible for IES exam or not? I have completed B.E (Electrical and Electronics Engineering).

you are fully eligible to apply for IES exam after completing B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. because according to UPSC for IES(Indian Engineering Services) exam you must have engineering degree in any discipline from recognized college or university.

but the thing is that you are required to give the papers in any one of the following four streams.
    1. Civil Engineering
    2. Electrical Engineering
    3. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
    4. Mechanical Engineering

For IES there is no limit of number of attempts. you can apply any number of times within age limit.

for IES your age must be within 21 years to 30 years . there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

You have to apply for the exam online on following official link of UPSC:
    http://www.upsconline.nic.in/

    Good Luck......

    Section II:

    Engineering paper I :

    Engineering paper II;

    3 HOURS AND 200 MARKS

    >>Last stage is personal interview.

The eligibility for IES is that you need to have a degree in Engineering from any stream but from a recognised University.
Your EEE stream is also eligible but your choice of paper will depend upon you. There are only 4 subjects among which you have to select only one-
    Civil engg
    Mechanical engg
    Electrical Engg
    Electronics and telecommunication Engg

You need to make a selection as which paper you want to opt for after checking the syllabus and also the previous year papers from the website of UPSC at www.upsc.gov.in

Re: Am I eligible for IES exam or not? I have completed B.E (Electrical and Electronics Engineering).

    hi
I am sorry to say but electrical and electronics subject is not in the list of the ndian engineering services examination.
There are only 4 branches that are eligible for giving the IES exam.
    The 4 branches are-
    1. Mechanical engineering
    2. Electrical engineering
    3. Civil engineering
    4. ECE

And as you do not belong to these four branches then you are not eligible for giving the IS exam.
