I have done my graduation in B.sc(IT) from NIIT with distance education which is affiliated to KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY Karnatka. Am I eligible for UPSC civil service exams?

if your university is govt. Recognized only than you will called as eligible for upsc civil services examination.

But before you apply you should check the eligibility criteria:-



eligibility criteria:-

* the candidate must be a citizen of india.

* the candidate must be a graduate from a govt. Recognized university.

Age criteria:-

* for general category:- 21-30 years.

* for obc category:- 21-33 years.

* for sc/st category:- 21-35 years.

Yes there is a small problem for it student that there is no any subject related to it so you have to choose any two another optional subjects.

QUALIFICATION FOR UPSC EXAM.

1. You must be an Indian.

2. You must be graduate from recognized university.

3. You must be medically & physically fit candidate

4. You age must be between 21 - 30 years.

5. No. of attempts -:
* Gen-: 4
* Obc-: 7
* Sc/St-: No limit.

6.Five years relaxation for sc/st & government employee.

7.Three years relaxation for obs candidate.

Well, NIIT is like job oriented coaching classes and not full time education classes.

Kuvempu University is however recognised by UGC so if in the UPSC notification if they have added the requirement as B.Sc from UGC recognised colleges then you can apply for that exam without any wories.
