Re: Am I eligible for UPSC, SSC and CDS examination being a 6th semester B.Pharmacy student? What subjects should I choose for same?

Dear if you are pursuing 6th semester of the B. Pharmacy (Four Year Degree Course) then presently you are not eligible for various exams conducted by UPSC board but there are some exams that you can apply for

Before providing any solution of your query, I would like to request you that you should decide your goal your target and your way first then you should walk on right direction because you did not make your way yet despite being a student of some university so this is your duty that you make a very good way for your career then start going on that and you have asked for various exams related to UPSC - Union Public Service Commission, SSC - Staff Selection Commission and about career after pharmacy as well so this is your huge confusion that will not let you be ahead in your life because you are totally in maze that what should you do at this stage of your career and not able to make right decision so you should ask for the right way from your senior students, teachers, parents because knowing wish of all is important then keep your interest

If you see that you can do better in your Pharmacy field then you should go to that without any hesitation but must be confident to that and trust in yourself because Pharmacy field is really challenging at this time and if you choose this way then also you will find out a very good career but before that you will have to develop your knowledge of Pharmacy and prefer modern technologies in Pharmacy field then think about it and after B. Pharmacy you must go for either M. Pharmacy or MBA in Pharmaceutical Management so you will have enough good knowledge over this subject with a very good and high remuneration job but if you find yourself in trouble in this way then there is nothing better than preparing for spirited exams at present

There are some commissions and bodies that are working well in recruitment sector of India and each of the body decided to work for a special sector to complete staffing as - UPSC is for various department as - Central Administrative Department, Defense Department, Engineering Field, Economic and Statistical Field, Forest Department on central level where SSC board is also liable for different type and grade jobs on central level means from MTS - Multi Tasking Staff to higher grade jobs in - Income Tax Department, Intelligence Bureau, CVC - Chief Vigilance Commission, External Affairs, CAG etc. and IBPS is for all type of recruitment in banking sector so there are so many ways that you may choose to make your career

This is also a confusing thing that for which examination should students prepare for, and sometimes students starts preparation for competitive exams and appear in all examination conducted by various bodies as - UPSC/ SSC/ IBPS etc. so decide your way where you wants to go and if you are interested in defense department of India through CDS examination then you can go to it without any problem :

Eligibility for Combined Defense Service Examination :

Indian Military Academy : Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or pursuing final year of degree. Age should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years

You can not apply for INA - Indian Naval Academy and AFA - Air Force Academy because your educational qualification does not suites for these academies so you should prepare for IMA section to get qualified

If you want to know about SSC then you are presently eligible only for following exams under SSC board

SSC - Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination - DEO and LDC post

    SSC - Multi Tasking Staff

SSC conduct other exams as - CGL - Combined Graduate Level, FCI - Food Corporation of India Assistant Grade III, SI in CAPF, ITBP, BSF, CRPF etc. so these other exams requires for completed bachelor's degree that you do not have so you should wait for the completion of graduation then apply for these exams

But without wasting a second, you can prepare for these exams and if you focus from now then you can easily qualify examination of UPSC and SSC conducted every year. This year's CDS II, Online application date has been over but CDS I will conduct again in the year 2014 around February so this will be better for you that you begin your grounding for this examination right now and make yourself complete and perfect for next CDS I
