Am I eligible to write CDSE this year or 2014 without completing internship of MBBS at the age of 22 or 23 years?

I am a final year MBBS student who is aspiring to write the CDS examination.I am about to complete my final year in July and the result will be announced in the month of September but I would not be getting my degree till I complete my internship the next year.I am 22 years presently.AM I ELIGIBLE TO WRITE THE CDSE-2014 TAKING MY AGE INTO ACCOUNT?

CDS is the Combined defense services examinations which is conducted by the Union Public services commission twice every year in the month of february and september respectively.

It gives you opportunity to join the different academies of defense if you are able to clear all the stages of the examinations and serve for your nation.It includes all the four academies which are :

1.Indian naval academy

2.Indian military academy

3.Indian Airforce academy

4.Officer's training academy

Since you are willing to give this examination,so you need to satisfy some of the eligibility criteria for the examinations which are as follows:

>>Bachelor's degree is the minimum educational qualifications required.Final year graduation candidates can also apply for the examinations.Since you are pursuing your MBBS ,so you are eligible in terms of academic requirements.

Your main concern is towards age criteria :

The minimum age required to be eligible for the examination is 21 years and the upper age limit is dependent upon the different academies:

IMA:24 years

INA:22 years

OTA:25 years

AFA :23 years

So dear you will be eligible for the CDS exams but for the IMA and OTA only.

Friend ,the important dates for the CDS 2 are :

Date of notification:25/05/2013

Last date of receiving application:24/06/2013

Date of examination:08/09/2013.

So if you are interested in giving CDS 2 ,then you can apply for this exam at www.upsconline.nic.in.

Yes you can apply for the CDS exam without completion of your internship.

CDS exam is conducted by UPSC for the candidates who wants to join the IMA.

Eligibility for the CDS exam is :-

>>Graduation from recognized university

>>Age must lies in between 19-24 years

>>You must be Indian
