Re: Any special requirements to be eligible for UPSC IAS exams?
There are no special requirement for the exam but one have to fulfill the below criteria for giving the exam .
Education Qualification
-> one have to complete the graduation from any recognized university in any stream .
or
-> A final year student also eligible for the exam but one have to complete the graduation before the main exam .
Age Limit :
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc cast
21-35 for sc/st cast
21-35 for ex-serviceman
2-40 for physically handicapped .
So if anyone can fulfill the above criteria then he/she will give the exam .
But there are limit for the giving the exams like
General cast candidate can give the exam maximum 4 times
while OBC cast candidate can give the exam 7 times
and there are no limit for the sc/st cast .
So when you are fully prepared for the exam then and then give the exam .
