    Hello

YES THE B.TECH(IT) STUDENTS ARE APPLICABLE FOR THE IES EXAMS.

But there is a fact that you need to take care off, every candidates having the degree in any engineering stream is eligible for the IES exams, but they will have the option of studying only four streams, means they can apply for the exam only with one of any four categories

    ~Civil
    ~Mechanical
    ~Electrical.
    ~Electronics and Telecommunication.

Yes you will have to choose any one subject between 4 and will have to study, that is the only way.Your four years of IT knowledge will be of no practical use.
