Of course if your are graduate with information technology then you can apply for ias/ips examination. And if you are B.Tech in IT then you can appear in ies examination i.e. engineering services exam.

First of all you have to go through the Question Pattern for which exam you want to appear. You can download and print Previous Years Question Papers at www.upsc.gov.in

Yes, IT students are eligible for writing UPSC exams. What category you want to choose? If you are talking about your community (general, SC, ST, OBC), you can't choose. It is already provided to you at the time of your birth.

    Thanks,
