- First allocates your time properly.
- Get some standard books recommended.
- Before starting preparation assess yourself by solving previous years question papers.

It doesnot mean anything .You can give such examination anytime when you want on if you want to join army you can give nda exams and there are many such exams available you can go for anyone.Its your need and waht you want to achieve.

diploma is not an eligibility for any of the upsc examination.
so on diploma basis you can not apply for any upsc examination.

for the upsc examination like NDA and SCRA you need to pass 12th with
subjects MATHEMATICS PHYSICS CHEMISTRY and ENGLISH.


while for the other examination conducted by upsc like
