    Can I become an IAS officer having less aptitude on general knowledge? If I start reading newspaper will it help in qualifying in IAS exam? Tips to follow for same along with B.Tech studies?

    i am in btech 2nd year and i want to qualify an ias exam.but the problem is that my general knowledge is not good and i don't read newspaper.so if i start reading newspaper , will it going to help me in qualifying ias exam.please suggest some more tips which i can folllow with my btech studies

    Dear Aspirant

    If you have the zeal to become an IAS officer you can do anything.Trying to see the positive aspects of become an IAS officer .The respect and job satisfaction.In achieving any big success you will have to face hurdles.But nothing can stop you if you have true desire to achieve things.

    Spent some time with GS and you will be gradually develop interest in it and within 1-2 months you may have passions for it.Take it in a creative way and relate it to day-day experiences have fun discuss current scenarios with friends

    Yes reading a newspaper is the best habit you can have.It develop your conversational skills,reading skills,help you in comprehension ,and keep you updated about current affairs.

    Get acquainted with examination pattern by visiting official websites (www.upsc.gov.in).Choose your optional wisely and then make a study plan

    Generate your aptitude towards GS you will feel difficulty initially but the fruits you will get is un-parallel.
