Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Examination 2013 - 14

Candidate should posses a degree in any one of the - Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Engineering/ Forestry/ Geology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Zoology from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

If you have completed BCA - Bachelor's of Computer Application then we are really sorry to say that you can not apply for this examination because your specialization subject does not meet with the requirements of this examination so you should prepare for any other examination which gives you equal rank as IFoS Officer

You can apply for Indian Civil Service Examination on the basis of your bachelor's degree and can become IAS Officer in India for civil service. This examination conducted every year in two sections - Preliminary and Main examination and once you qualify both of these exams good marks and crack personality test then you will be posted as IAS Officer in India according to your rank

Indian forest service exam is conducted by the upsc.

From this year onwards both civil services prelims and forest services prelims are conducted on the same day.This year it was held on 26.5.2013

Regarding the educational qualification read the following clause as mentioned in the forest service examination.
The candidate must hold a bachelor�sdegree with at least one of the subjects
as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology,
mathematics, physics, statistics and zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in
Agriculture, Forestry or in Engg....

so if you satisfy the above condition as regards to educational qualification you can apply for the exam. Next exam will be held next year.

1) Educational Qualifications:
