Hi,
You cannot apply for Indian Engineering Services Examination while pursuing 3rd year in Engineering.
You will have to wait for one more year to be eligible.
Also, you age should be at least 21 years on 1st January of the year of examination.
You should start your preparations from now only so that you can clear it in one go.
All the best.
Thank you.
Sorry, being a 3rd year engineering candidate you can not apply to appear neither IES(Indian Engineering Services)nor PSU(Public Sector Undertaking)exam.as the eligibility restrict you fromappearing the Entrance/CWE.

IES exam every year.AGE: 21-30 years, relaxations for OBG: 3 years, S/c S/T: 5 years. PWD:10 years.
Nationality: India, Attempts: General: 4 times, OBC: 7 times, S/c S/T : No limit.
PSU Eligibility: A complete Graduate from the recognized University /Institution in any discipline /stream can write CWE, AGE: General: 20-30 years(21-30)years, relaxations as per Govt. rule, Nationality:Indian.
So,friend under the situation you can not apply for IES or PSU entrance/CWE.It is better you complete your
Graduation from the recognized University to appear UPSC examinations as well as PSU exams.

Hello friend,
as you are in third year and think about to get appear in the examination of Indian engineering services examination then let me tell you you are not eligible to write for the examination at this stage because you are not fulfilling the eligibility criteria .
so if a person is not fit according to any criteria regarding the examination then he/she will not be called as eligible for the same .
so first complete your graduation /engineering and then you should try for the same ,but if you have confidence about yourself that you can crack the examination without any more preparation then you can apply next year because final year candidates are also eligible for the examination.
I think that you have only little knowledge about the examination so you should see the details about the examination...
Eligibility required for the same.
1. the candidate must be an Engineering graduate with a govt. recognized university.
2. all the engineering graduates are eligible to give the examination but you have to give the examination in any of the following
branches.
* civil engineering.
* mechanical engineering.
* electrical engineering.
* electronics and telecommunication engineering.
and all the other requirements are as same as for the other graduate level examination.
like.
1. age criteria:-
* for general aspirants:- 21- 30 years.
* for obc category:- 21-33 yrs.
* for sc/st category:- 21-35 yrs.
2. No. of attempts:-
# for general category 4 attempts.
# for obc aspirants. 7 attempts.
# for sc/st aspirants.no limit.
