If you wish to apply for UPSC Civil Services - IAS Officer then you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and if you belong to reserved category then you will get the relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.

1. Preliminary Exam : This exam would be conducted in objective type format and you will have to qualify two papers which contains 400 marks and after qualifying in this exam you have to apply for mains exam.
2. Mains Examination : This section contains 9 papers which has 2000 marks and there would be 3 separate papers for - Any Indian Language, Essay and General English and other 6 papers would be as - two papers for general studies, 4 papers would be from your selected any two subjects for mains exam means each subject has 2 papers.
3. Interview Process : After qualifying both of the prelims and mains exam you will get the call for interview process and this process contains 300 marks and if you qualify the interview process then you may become an IAS Officer under India.

Eligibility criteria for IAS:
1) Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
2)Age : The upsc civil exam appear candidates age between 21 to 30 years .Age relaxation for SC ,ST ,OBC ,handicapped persons details given below.
