THe knowledge of politics is not required to serve as an IAS officer. You are in any case not going to indulge in politics. The work of an IAS stops in polocy design and execution as that of subordinate to ministers. you have to apply for the upsc civil services examination.
graduation or engineering in stream form a recognized university
