Yes sir you are simultaneously prepared the NET and IAS exam.

in the both exam need the general study but IAS need high standard level general study than the NET.

Net exam required one subject but IAS required the two subject so when u prepared the net than automatically one is prepared for the ias exam..

after that you prepared the other paper.

Yes you can prepare simultaneously for both UGC-NET and UPSC Civil services Exam.
It can be very helpful for you as you can choose the mains subject for IAS same as the subjects with whom you are preparing for the NET Exam.
As it will strengthen your concepts in that subject and will help you in Qualifying both the exams.
If you Qualify your NET Exam before the civil services interview; then your result in the NET Exam will surely impress the interviewers.

you can prepare your best for both the exams but you have to set your target for going in one because you cannot go in both the fields together .IAS is a difficult job as well as its exam is too difficult because the authority and responsibity is too higher in this field
