No ,you are not eligible for IES exam since production engineering branch is not there .IES exam is conducted in following streams -
Mechanical engineering
Civil engineering
Electrical engineering
ECE
Computer science and engineering
This exam will consist one paper for general studies and reasoning ability type.So be prepared for this types of questions.As candidates will be able to answer the question from your core subjects but they can face some problems in other sections.

Yes,why not ,you are 100% eligible for the Engineering services examination as the basic academic qualification required for the IES examination is that you should have a bachelor's degree in any trade of engineering/technology from a recognized university.
But there is a limitations that aspirants from the branches of engineering which are then core branches have to select subjects from the core branches of engineering .Being a production engineer,you have to select the subjects for the conventional from the :
1.Civil engineering
2.Mechanical engineering
3.Electrical engineering
4.Electronics and telecommunication engineering.
The age should be between 21-30 years for general category with upper age limit relaxed for the SC/ST and obc respectively.General category students get 4 attempts while obc seven and sc/st has no limits.
The examination pattern for the IES examinations is :
The date of registration for 2013 IES exam starts from 15/03/2013.You can apply online for this exam at www.upsconline.nic.in

No , Production Engineer are not applicable for IES exam .
Because only below given engineering departments are applicable for IES exam .

Yes production engineers are also eligible to apply to UPSC Engineering Services Exam(ESE).
ESE is conducted by UPSC every year to make recruitments to 4 Categories.
Categories to which recruitments are made through ESE are :
1.Civil Engineering
2.Mechanical Engineering
3.Electrical Engineering
4.Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering
You can apply for any of the above 4 categories mentioned according to your interest and knowledge.

Dear you are from Production Engineering Stream student so that dear you can not apply for this exam because your branch is not relevant with the required streams so that you can not apply but if you are really interested in UPSC exams then you can apply for following examinations which are conducted by UPSC Board

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam

Preliminary exam : This is the first test in this exam in which you would have to qualify two objective type papers for 400 marks

Having done production engineering , you are surely eligible for the IES exam.
the IES exam is conducted by the UPSC and for the IES exam the criterion's needed to be satisfied to be eligible are-
1.You should have completed B.Tech in any of the following stream from a recognized university-
i>civil engineering.
ii>Production engineering.
iii>Mechanical Engineering.
iv>Electronics and Telecommunication.
v>Electrical engineering.
2.the age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years.
3.there are age relaxation for reserved category as per government norms.
the question paper for mechanical and production engineering candidates will be the same.
so you will have to apply for the mechanical engineering stream paper.

YES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE IES(INDIAN ENGINEERING EXAMS).
The eligibility criteria for the IES is that you must have completed the B.TECH degree or B.E degree that is a engineering degree in any discipline to be applicable for the IES exams.
As you have a engineering degree in production engineering,so you are also applicable.
Now the only problem is that any engineering degree from any discipline is applicable for the IES but they only have the four streams to apply for
1)Mechanical Engineering.
2)Civil Engineering.
3)Electronics and Communication Engineering.
4)Electrical Engineering.
You will have to apply for any one of the stream that is mentioned below,does not matter from which stream you belonged what you have only this four stream to choose and selection for any one is valid irrespective of the stream of engineering stream.
Hence you are applicable for the UPSC IES exams.
