Re: Is it compulsory to have more than 60% in graduation course to be eligible for UPSC exams?

    Dear Applicant,
    - There is no percentage bar in appearing the exams that are conducted by the UPSC.
You can appear for the exams once you have scored the
passing percentage in your Graduation or Equivalent from a recognized university !!
    - Hence,it is not necessary to have obtained 60%.You can appear the exams after scoring the meagre passing marks,in aggregate.
Final year students may also apply, provided you are able to produce the required passing certificate when the selection proceeds after the written exams.

    >> The exams conducted by the UPSC that one can appear for after completing their Graduation are mentioned below ::

    01. CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.
    02. INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAMS.
    03. INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMS.
    04. COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMS.
    05. INDIAN ECONOMIC/STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAMS.
    06. COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICE EXAMS.
    07. THE GEOLOGISTS EXAMS.
    08. STENOGRAPHERS EXAMS.
    09. CENTRAL POLICE FORCE EXAMS.

However, take note that the eligibility criteria of these exams vary from one another.Do not misinterpret them to be the same !!
-For further details and notifications regarding these exams, visit the 'general' section on the official website of the UPSC :: www.upsc.gov.in

Re: Is it compulsory to have more than 60% in graduation course to be eligible for UPSC exams?

There are no such requirement mention in the UPSC about the percentage .
Only mention is that one should done their graduation from any recognized college .
Incorporate to above requirement one should also fulfill the other requirement also like

-> one age should be between 21-30 for general cast
    21-33 for obc cast
    21-35 for SC/ST cast
    21-35 for Ex-serviceman
    21-40 for ex-serviceman

-> If you are in the final year then also you can give the exam but before the main exam you have to complete your graduation

-> There are a limit for the no of attempts one can do like
    4 for general cast
    7 for obc cast
no limit for the sc/st cast

So don't worry if you have less than 60% , you still eligible if you follow the above requirement .

For more information related to exam visit the upsc site www.upsc.gov.in

    Good Luck

    Hi dear
    upsc-exam.jpg

Any Indian with a degree from a recognized University and who satisfies the age criteria, is eligible for the UPSC Exams.

UPSC Exams do not consider percentage of marks as eligibility criteria, i.e. if you have passed your degree course then you can apply for the UPSC Exams, regardless of what percentage of marks you have scored.

After your graduation you can apply for following UPSC Exams ( your eligibility for any of these Exams depend upon your stream).

    #Combined Medical Services Examination
    #Combined Defence Services Examination
    #Engineering Services Examination
    #Civil Services Examination
    #Indian Forest Service Examination
#Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination

Each of these Exams have different Eligibility criteria and for recruitment of different officers.
So you should visit www.upsc.gov.in ,to know the suitable exams for you.

    Hello friend,

Remember one thing UPSC does not involve or bother

about the percentage of marks obtained by a student

in his or her school period or in there graduation level.

They just bother about how well you performed in the

    UPSC examination.

And they also very strict about the qualification and

the age limit of the candidate who is going to give this

    examination.

    AGE LIMIT:

For general category candidate the age limit ranges

    from 21 to 30 years.

For OBC category candidates the age limit ranges from

    21 to 33 years

For SC/ST category candidates the age limit ranges

    from

    21 to 35 years.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Must be a graduate from any recognized university or

    any recognized organization.

    Hello

No it is not true, when it comes to the UPSC exams the percentage never has a great role to play.
In fact just make one point clear about the UPSC exams that the first stage of the UPSC exams is always a entrance and there is no percentage required for the UPSC exams at all.Now i must tell you that in any UPSC exams the percentage demand is not there.Only the candidates that are passed is enough, just passed candidates are required to apply for the exams of UPSC.

Hence from the future, just keep one thing in mind that you never have to worry about the percentage required in the UPSC exams, becAUSE THERE IS NEVER SUCH REQUIREMENT OR SO.
