In UPSC it requires only bachelor degree and and if you have more than that then it ok ...
there nothing benifit for higher studies ...
minimum reuirement is :
age: 21 to 30
qualification: graduate from any recognized university.

No PG degree is not going to matter over other aspirants while applying to civil services exam as the eligiblity criteria for the exam is:
* One hold graduaion degree from recognized university.
* Age limit :
1.general 21-30 yrs
2.obc 21-33 yrs
3.sc/st 21-35 yrs
Dear candidate selection for IAS is ascertained on the basis of performance on preliminary/Mains eexam.and Interview. So, here PG degree is not a matter over other people while applying to Civil Services Exam.
PERFORMANCE IN PRELIMINARY+ mAINS + iNTERVIEW= tOTAL MARKS. No extra marks is given for PG degree.As per merit lists(Total marks) appointment letter is issued,so other people/candidate must not be tensed for PG candidates.
