Yes some upsc exams have different pattern. Like the upsc exam for ias/ips/ifs has same pattern but ies exam i.e. engineering services examination has different pattern from ias/ips/ifs exam.

The exam of cms i.e. combine medical services exam is also has different pattern which is based on MBBS pattern.

Yes Dear;
Different exams of UPSC follow different pattern.
As UPSC conducts exams for a variety of jobs for nearly all the government departments. So each of the exam focus's on different aspects of the applicant , according to the job he is aiming from the exam.
For example , the Engineering Services Exam focus's on the engineering knowledge of the student in his engineering subject while the Geologist's exam focus's on the geology's knowledge of the applicant.
And so each of the exam has different exam scheme and marks distribution accordingly.

civil service exam, cds exam, nda exam, all exam is different from each other.
civil service exam exam held two type one is preliminary and other is the mains in main exam two paper include and mains exam 8 paper include.
in the cds exam for ota only two paper is include general study and English but ima naval air force three paper is held. general study, English and mathematics . same procedure for nda and scra and other post.
so all the paper has different pattern.

yes dear differents exams conducted by upsc contains different patterns but exams like NDA ,CDSE have almost the same pattern and exams like IAS,IPS have almost same exam patterns but many others have different patterns.
