animal husbandry and veterinary science
botany
chemistry
geology

physics
stat
zoology
or a bachelor degree in agricultural or forestry or engineering of any recognized university.
*age limit is 21-30 years.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION;-
PAPER I-general English of 300 marks
PAPER-II-general knowledge of 300 marks
PAPER III, IV, V, VI-any two subject selected from list of optional subject

IFS stand for Indian Forest Service. IFS exam is conducted by UPSC every year.
IFS exam is quite competitive because lots of candidates apply for IFS exam from all over the India.
To apply for IFS exam you must follow the eligibility criteria
Criteria for IFS exam
You should have bachelor degree in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent.
Final year candidates can also apply for civil service exam.
You must attain the age limit of 21 years but not more than 30 years.
Age relaxation for SC/ST + 5 years, for OBC +3 years and for PH +10 years.
You must be Indian citizen
Exam pattern for IFS exam
You can apply for IFS exam through Online and offline application process.

Here you will have to complete application form in two parts.
For offline application you can purchase the form from head post office of your city and fill the form and send to the prescribed address.
