How to become an ACP Officer? What is the difference between SSC and UPSC and which one is better between these two and why?

dear friend to become an acp you have to give civil services examination conducted by upsc every year you have to give your choice as IPS (indian police services) by clearing that you can become ACP>
both SSC and UPSC are the central agencies which are responsible to conduct the examinations throughout the country.UPSC is mainly responsible for all the A grade government jobs which includes civil services exam ,combined defense services exam.indian engineering services exam etc whereas SSC is responsible to conduct exam for all the B and C grade government jobs like in all the ministries,intelligence bureau etc. OK friend

If you want of become ACP then you have to pass IPS examination. Indian Police Force (IPS) exam is conducted by UPSC.

If you go to SSC you will get the job of Clerk or Junior Engineering post.


First of all you should clear your aim that in which field you want to go. IPS or Engineering or Clerk.

ssc means staff selection commission and upsc means union public service commission. if u want to become acp then give exam of upsc and both are same wighted.

to become an ACP, there is no direct recruitment .first you should clear civil services exam and become IPS.You will be posted as ASP and then u become ACP by promotion.
UPSC- recruits for group A and B posts.
SSC- recruits for group C and D posts.
