there is nothing special for IT (information technology) engineers to apply for the upsc examination.the process is same for them also.you must have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the upsc examinations that are:

>>graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

>>your age must be between the range of 21 to 30 years if you belong to open category.otherwise if you belong to some other caste ,you will be relaxation of 3 years for obc and 5 years for sc/st.

>>you must be indian citizen.

for competing upsc examinations ,you have to clear three examination

first you have to clear preliminary examinations.

then you have to go for main examination and after that for the personal interview.

first of all before applying in UPSC you have to satisfy the eligibility criteria for UPSC exams and it is necessary for all the candidates whether you have completed IT engineering or any graduation.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. You need to complete or appearing in final year of graduation in any field from recognized college or university.
2. Your age must be within 21 years to 30 years and there is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
