Dear you are really afraid of your exams because you are thinking about to be failed in the mains examination so dear fist of all you should not afraid of any exam and do not keep negative thinking in your mind about the exam and if you will think optimistically then you will definitely get the success and it is fact that so many students are being depressed at the same stage and that's why they do not get qualified in the mains exam because they think that there are 9 various papers and how would be get qualified in each paper so that dear you should leave this thinking and prepare for your exams and if you want to prepare for any one of the optional subject for mains exam then you may do it but there is one thing that if you could not qualify in the preliminary exam then you would not be eligible to apply for mains exam so dear you should concentrate at your preliminary exam and if you get about 2 hours extra after completing prelims study then you should give the time for your mains exam.
All the best
dear friend,
dear if you do so it will be very help ful for you in Civil Services exam. as you can do well preparation for one optional before prelims then you just have left one subject from the mains and there is 4-5 months left in Mains and it is enough time for preparation.
if you don't able to do that don't worry and calm down. Prepare according to syllabus. as concentrate on solving previous year papers for Civil Services.
