The UPSC conducts the Indian Postal Service through CSAT. you have to apply for CSAT for this post if you are a graduate student. The SSC also conducts the post of Inspector of posts through Combined Graduate Level Examination which qualification is also graduation. Besides it, The postal Department conducts various examination for recruiting their staff just like postal assistant, sorting assistant etc.

:: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::
# You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a subject of Nepal or
Bhutan,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled
permanently in India before 1962.
# You must be 21 to 30 Years of age.
The upper age limit is however relaxable by 5
years for SC/ST and ex-servicemen AND by 3
years for OBC candidates.
# You must be a Graduate or equivalent,in
any subject or stream from a recognized
university.

# The General Category students are
allowed 04 number of attempts.It is raised
to 07 for OBC candidates and unlimited for
the SC/ST candidates.

official website of UPSC in the month of
January.The last date to apply is until
about the first week of March.
-The exams are conducted in three
phases,namely,
*The Preliminary Exams.
