Sorry UPSC exam is not conducted in online. The only mode you can apply for is offline. Reason behind it is many candidates applying aren't accustomed to use computer. Also computerized centers are also not available in nos. required to conduct exam online & since mains exams includes subjective questions so typing speed on keyboard can be a drawback for many students.

Sorry to say that U.P.S.C. does not conduct any online examination.
Only you can apply in online mode for various examinations.
Candidates have to give the examinations by going to their respective examination centers.
As U.P.S.C. conducts various examinations & many students are applying in these exams, such huge amount of computer centers are not available to conduct these exams.
All candidates can not use computers. Specifically candidates from remote areas can feel difficulty which using computers.
For these difficulties , online exam is not conducted by U.P.S.C.

No upsc will not conduct any online examination , it is just rumour you heard , because in upsc exam there are lots of candidates appering for the exam so that it is not possible to provide each candidate a personal computer for the exam , it is not affordable so exam conduct through offline mode only .

Dear, Till date, UPSC does not conduct any exam through online, But it is true that you can fill up the application form ONLINE and following are the steps:- 1. visit www.upsconline.nic.in 2.Enter your Email add, Userid and Password then it will send the same to your Email Add. 3. Again Visit www.upsconline.nic.in and enter the userid and Password as mentioned in your Email 4.Now you can register yourself for the UPSC EXAM 5. After completion of form give the payment through Credit/debit card or Net Banking. So, enjoy the technology, you will get Rs. 50/- less, if you apply through online . Good Luck...

but to facilitate the upsc aspirants they have started taking online applications form for the upsc exams .to fill the upsc form online you to log on to the official upsc site www.upsconline.nic.in

but i think the upsc will start taking exams online for the aspirants after some time .

Till now there is no such facility to give the UPSC exam online....
You have the only facility to apply online for this exam.....
Reason why the online exam the facility of online exam is not there....
The candidates applying for this exam are also from very rural areas where there are no facility of the computers..
They don't know to even operate the computers...
So, they will feel very problem in giving the exams...
The other reason in this also-----
Its not possible to arrange a huge number of computers at a time as the number of candidates is very large in number...
Due to these reasons the online facility is still not started........
