Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)
There are three stage
prelim exam are the basic exam which is held in the month of may in every year.
- prelim exam
- main exam
- interview
mains exam are the exam on 2nd stage only those candidate can give this exam who clear prelim exam in that year.
next and last stage is interview stage. for interview only those candidate are eligible who clear the above two stage in that year.
you can find approx 3 to 4 month in between prelims and mains exam
prelims exam held in month of may in every year and mains exam held in the month of September or october
