Friend you would have need of very hard work to crack the UPSC civil service exam. As you mentioned that you are in software company and want to prepare for CSE. You need to schedule your time table for the study. It is the quite tough exam but still you can crack it and may be an IAS officer and serve to the country. For the preparation you would have need to join any good coaching institute. Here you can get good study material and guidance of faculty for the preparation. You should study with reference books and NCERT books. You should read newspaper and magazine daily. for this you can use Pratiyogita Darpan and India Today magazine. You should also practice previous year question paper to understand the exam pattern.
