    How should I study to become an IPS officer? Which stream to choose after 12th?

    sir/madam i read in class xi science,
    after 10 2,how should i study to be an ips officer
    i shall be highly obliged to u if u kindly inform me about the stream also after 12,which will help me the best to give the upsc exam?

    IPS exam is for the Indian Police Service

    The exam is conducted by UPSC once in a yesr.

    Eligibility for IPS exam:-

    i)You must have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university of India

    ii)Your age must lies in between 21-30 years.

    iii)You must be Indian

    If you want to become IPS officer then you can choose any stream the minimum qualification for the exam is that you must have a bachelor degree from any atream.

    So you can choose any stream in which you are most interested.

    to become IPS officer, you can choose any stream after 12th standard.

    IPS Exam stands for Indian police services.

    IPS exam eligibility;-

    1-you must be graduate from a recognized university in any stream .

    2-there is no percentage requirement

    3-you must be Indian citizen

    4-your age should be between 21-30 years.

    5-you must be physically fit.

    IPS exam these stages;-

    ----preliminary exam

    ---mains exam

    ---interview

    After of completion of Graduation only you are eligible to apply for IPS examination.
    To apply for IPS examination you can take your interested stream or branch in Graduation or degree that may be Professional or normal degree there is no problem because it required on Graduation in stream is the minimum educational qualification.

    Minimum age required to apply is 21 years and above.

    The criteria for appearing in UPSC Exam is :
    1. Nationality : Indian
    2. Academic qualification : Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
    3. Age limits : 21-30 (OPEN), 21-33 (OBC), 21-35(sc/st).
    4. Attempts : OPEN-4 , OBC-7 ,SC/ST-9 .

    You can go for any stream after 12th. But, if you wanna become an IPS officer only, then B.A or B.Com will be more helpful. Infact B.A is much much better. Choose subjects with law.

    You can prepare for UPSC in the following ways:
    1. The reference books for various subjects can be found on net.
    2. Prepare your own Comprehensive notes.
    3. Use memory techniques. Memory techniques is a smart way of learning.
    4.Manage time efficiently

    You can choose any stream after 12th whichever you feel interested...As there is no hard and fast rule to it...

    For your preparation you need to check the syllabus of the exam and accordingly you need to prepare for it ...

    Some tips are here:

    1.read newspaper daily..
    2.study daily never skip your studies.
    3.enhance your general awareness.etc

    These are just few tips you need lot more to do..

    You can choose any stream as you wish .. Because any stream candidates are applicable for IPS Entrance Examination ..


    So, Please don't worry about the specialization and there is no Minimum Marks required for this Entrance Examination ..

    Educational Qualification : If you have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university (or) Equivalent equivalent qualification from a recognized university then you are eligible according to educational qualification.

    Age Limit : If your age is between 21-30 years then you are eligible in age and if you belongs to reserved category then you may get upper age relaxation in age as per government standards which would be about 5 years for SC/STs and 3 years for OBC category candidates.

    Physical Standards :

    >>> Height - Male - 165 cm for general candidates and 160 for reserved category candidates

    >>> Height - Female - 150 cm and 145 for reserved category candidates

    >>> Chest - Male - Minimum 84 cm and expansion of minimum 5 cm

    >>> Chest Female - Minimum 79 cm and expansion of minimum 5 cm

    >>> Eye Sight : 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye and 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worst eye and near vision j1 for good eye and j2 for worst eye

    >>> Ladies should not be pregnant during the medical and physical standards test

    Hello Friend,
    IPS stands for Indian Police service. The IPS entrance exam conducted by UPSC once in a year. To become an IPS one can clear the entrance exam successfully.
    A good preparation is needed to qualifying the exam

    Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the minimum qualification required to apply for the exam.

    So, don't worry you have to choose any stream in your choice .After complete your graduation degree you are eligible to apply for the exam.

    You can choose any stream after 12th standard to become IPS officer.

    Eligibility Criteria for IPS Examination:-

    >>You should be a citizen of India

    >>you should be complete the degree with any stream from recognized university.
    There is no minimum percentage marks to require for this examination

    >>Pass mark is enough to apply this examination,

    >>final year students also eligible for this examination.

    >>your Age should between 21 to years.

    >>your Height should be 165cm

    >>your chest should be 84cm and expansion 5cm.

    Selection procedure for IPS Entrance examination:-

    Its three stages to conduct this examination.

    >>preliminary Examination

    >>Main Examination

    >>Interview

    Dear Friend,

    To become an IPS officer you should be passed his/her graduation from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

    IPS stands for Indian police Services

    For that it is compulsory that you must be pass three rounds which are.

    CSAT (Prelims)
    Main Exam
    Interview

    For that exam you candidate must be under 21-30 years.

    So, firstly passed your graduation .
