I passed out Btech in ECE @ 2008 and have been working in Telecommunication industry as VOIP engineer since then. Now I want to attempt for IES 2013. Dont recollect any thing from the syllabus.. Can anyone suggest me, if its a good thought to go for it? If yes, whats the best way to prepare? Any books preferred?

yes friend, it is good to attempt for IES exam in the year of 2013.
IES exam is conducted by the UPSC every year for the recruitment of Cheif engineer executive posts.
for the preparation of IES exam you can join a famous coaching institute and need to very hard work to crack it.
study approx 10 hours daily.
