    I have completed B.Com in 2006 with 58% aggregate. What are the possibilities and scope for me in UPSC exams?

    I have completed B.Com in 2006 with 58% aggregate. I would like to know what are the possibilities and scope for me in UPSC Exams.

    very good scope for it. If you are Graduate with a good recognized university then you can fill up the form of UPSC ias and ips exams.

    For IAS/IPS exams you can get the job of Indian Administrative Service like DC Deputy Collector or DM deputy Magistrate and for IPS you can get Superintendent Of Police i.e. SP etc.

    The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

    Yes!! there are many opportunities for a B.Com student in
    UPSC Examinations.

    As you have completed B.Com in 2006 so,I am giving you an
    brief idea about the age limit of UPSC examinations generally
    given for different type of examinations.

    For general category
    21 to 30 years
    For SC/ST candidates
    21 to 35 years
    For OBC candidates
    21 to 33 years

    OTHER QUALIFICATION

    Nationality:- INDIAN
    Graduate from a recognized University.
    UPSC not bother about the percentage of marks.

    Number of attempts:-

    For general category 4 times
    For SC/ST candidates no limit
    For OBC candidates 7 times

    1)CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
    2)INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAM
    3)INDIAN POLICE SERVICE EXAM
    4)COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAM

    As you completed you graduation so that you can apply for the UPSC exam .
    The criteria for the exam is below :
    -> one should done their graduation from any recognized university .
    -> A final year student can also eligible for applying the exam .-> age limit is 21-30 for general cast , 3 years relaxion for obc , 5 years relaxion for sc/st/ex-serviceman / physically handicapped .
    -> maximum 4 attempts are allowed for the general cast , 7 for obc cast and no limit for the no of attempts for the sc/st cast .
    So as per the above criteria you are eligible for the exam .
    The exam pattern is below :
    1) preliminary exam
    2) main exam
    3) interview
    The final selection based on the marks available in the main exam plus interview .
    Preliminary exam consist two papers and one should pass this exam for qualifying for the next round .
    Main exam consists 9 descriptive type paper
    1-Any language
    2-english
    3-essay
    4&5-general study
    6&7-optional subject-1
    8&9-optional subject-2
    The first two papers marks are not considered but one should pass this two paper compulsory .
    So start the preparation for the exam .
