    dear friend,

first of all i want to make you clear that UPSC s not a Exam. It is a body which conduct several exams every year for the purpose of recruiting deserve candidate in government jobs.
UPSC conduct Exams like: Civil Services, IES, IFS, CDS, CMS, NDA, SCRA, CPF, etc.
If you cleared the any of the exam you can get the posts related to exam. like if you have cleared the Civil Services Exam then you can get the one of India's prestigious post IAS officer or IPS officer.

    Good Luck........

    Dear friend.,

Your question is not specific. There are many exams conducted by the commission.
style of training, salary etc changes with the exams.

I assume that you are asking for civil services since your question is not clear.

if a person gets selected for IAS then he has to undergo training for two years.he will get training in tha academy and he has to undergo district training.

if a person gets selected for IPS he has to get training in sardar vallabhai patel police academy, hyderabad.

so for each service ther are different mode of training

    all the best
