the eligibility criteria for the civil service exam:-

Age limit:-
The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.

Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means unlimited
Qualification:-
The qualification required for the upsc civil service exam is the graduation in any stream from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. the percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.

IGNOU is a central University which is fully affiliated by UGC i.e. University Grants Commission and AIU i.e. All Indian Universities. In the notification of upsc exam it is clear written that a candidate should have ugc approved University Graduation Degree for applying in upsc exam.

You should not worry about it. You can fill the form of upsc with IGNOU degree. Not only upsc you can fill the form of any entrance exam conducted for Graduate Student. Best of luck.

UPSC is not partial for the distance mode.


You should satisfy the following criteria of UPSC



You must be graduate in any stream from UGC recognized university or its equivalent( In distance mode university should be recognized by DEC or IGNOU)

the main eligibility to apply for upsc exam is graduation so all the graduates form any of the recognized university of India are eligible for upsc exam such as cds ,nda,srca,ias,ifs,cpf etc
so don't worry you are eligible for upsc exams
also for upsc exam your age matters alot .it should be between 21-30 years if you are a general applicant .
