    INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2012

    1. Log on to http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ to access the home page of the ONLINEAPPLICATION.
    2. Click on Online application for various examinations of UPSC.

    3. Before filling up the form candidates are advised to carefully go through the Notification No 04/2012-CSP. (To be published in the Employment News dated 18.02.2012) and a copy of the same is also available in the Examination Notice sub menu of the Guidelines to the Candidates menu.
    4.Select the Notified Exam for which you wish to submit your application and press Click here button under PART-I column corresponding to desired examination.
    5. Clicking on PART-I Registration link would take you to the, Main page for submitting the desired data for the Exam.

    6. Clicking on PART-II Registration would take you to the second part of the online application, which we will discuss and follow later in these instructions.
    7. When the candidate clicks on Click Here link for the particular examination (as indicated in step 4) he/she will be redirected to a new page for entering into PART-I Registration of Online Application.
    8. Click on the Continue button to proceed for the PART-I Registration. Clicking on Continue button opens-up a fresh blank form for the PART-I Registration. The Part-I Registration process is FURTHER divided into 5(FIVE) pages in which the candidates have to fill in the information, particulars and details asked for. Fields with red STAR (*) marks are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidate. Below every field clear instructions for filling up are written which should be carefully read and strictly followed by the candidates while filling up the form. Page-wise information asked are as follows:-

    PAGE ONE:
    Here the system inter-alia asks for Candidates Personal Information including Name, DOB, Fathers name, Mothers name, Address, if the candidate falls in the Physically Challenged status and category, Community the candidate belongs to (General, OBC, SC, ST), whether Fee Remission is claimed, if he/she belongs to minority, his/her Marital status etc. Instructions are given below each field, which may be read carefully and followed strictly.

    [Candidates may note that SC, ST, Physically Challenged and Women candidates are not required to pay fee. When the candidates choose Female in Gender field; Yes in Physically Challenged field; ST or SC in Community field; YES response is indicated in the fee remission claimed field by default which they are not required to change. These candidates will not be taken through the fee payment details page where the candidates are supposed to fill in the Payment Details while filling up Part-II of the Online Application.]

    Click on Continue button at bottom of the page to go to the second page.

    PAGE TWO:
    Here the system asks if the candidate wishes to apply for Age Relaxation. The candidate will be given the option to select the category under which he/she is applying for age relaxation. (Candidates are advised to refer to the Notification No. 04/2012-CSP. To be published in the Employment News dated 18.02.2012).

    And

    Asks for the Examination Centre the candidate wishes to appear from. The candidate is to select a centre from the drop down menu. The system also asks for the No of Attempts already made, please fill the no of attempts here (0 in case you have not taken any attempt)

    Click on Continue button at bottom of the page to go to the third page.


    PAGE THREE:

    On this page Information about Specific Details for Civil Services (Main) Examination is asked like Are you claiming exemption from
    appearing in Indian Language paper ?:
    if you have opted NO from the drop down menu, then in the next column please select the Language from the drop down menu. Like wise you have to select Optional Subject 1, Optional subject 2, Centre for Civil Services (Main) Examination and Medium for written Examination from the drop down menu.


    Note Candidates will not be allowed to offer the following combinations of subjects :
    (a) Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration;
    (b) Commerce & Accountancy and Management;
    (c) Anthropology and Sociology;
    (d) Mathematics and Statistics;
    (e) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
    (f) Management and Public Administration;
    (g) Of the Engineering subjects, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and
    Mechanical Engineering�not more than one subject.
    (h) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science

    Please Note that the choice of Optional subject 1 and Optional Subject 2 is for statistical purpose only and the CSP successful candidates will be asked the information at a later stage .

    Click on Continue button at bottom of the page to go to the fourth page.


    PAGE FOUR:

    Here the system displays all the information provided by the candidate in the application form for verification. Update button is also provided therein at the bottom of the Online Application details to move back and make any correction in the information filled in. The candidates are advised to check the filled in details and satisfy themselves that all information is correctly filled up. No change in information filled in by the candidates would be allowed at any subsequent stage of the examination process.

    Declaration box:

    At the bottom of the page there is a Declaration for the candidates. Candidates are advised to go through the contents of the Declaration carefully. Candidate has the option to either agree or disagree with the contents of Declaration by clicking on I Agree or I Do Not Agree buttons. In case the candidate opts to disagree, the application will be dropped and the procedure will be terminated. Accepting to agree only will submit the candidates Online Application, and the Part-I data submitted would be saved and a Registration Id generated for the candidate. Fifth page is displayed.


    PAGE FIVE:

    Here the system Displays the system generated unique Registration ID along with the essential identification information about the candidate viz. Name, Fathers Name, Mothers name, DOB, Address, Examination Centre etc. opted by the candidate. The candidate is also intimated that he/she has completed PART-I of the Registration of Online Application procedure. The candidates may however note that Application would be treated as incomplete and rejected unless accompanied with Part-II Registration.

    Here PART-I of the Online Application procedure is completed. A candidate has to complete the PART-II Registration for the successful Online Application submission.

    [ CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO TAKE A PRINT OF THIS PAGE BY CLICKING ON THE Print OPTION AVAILABLE BELOW NOTE-2 THEREIN. THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO INPUT THEIR REGISTRATION ID and DOB at subsequent stages.

    CANDIDATES OPTING TO DEPOSIT FEE IN CASH ARE ADVISED TO TAKE PRINT OF PAY-IN SLIP BY USING THE OPTIONPrint Bank Pay-in-Slip. Using this pay-in �slip, they can deposit the fee in cash at any branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA. The Bank will not accept any other pay-in �slip or challan than the one printed through the Print Bank Pay-in-Slip OPTION of this Online Application. After receipt of cash, the Bank would stamp the pay-in-slip and also provide a TRANSACTION ID. The candidate would have to log in again and proceed with PART-II Registration process.

    The latest procedure in registered in upsc exam is that you have to log on www.upsconline.nic.in for apply online and if you want to apply offline then you have to buy application form from post-office.

    Preliminary examination - This is qualifying test held in May/June every year. Notification for this is published in December/January. Results are published in the first half of August.

    Main examination - This is the main test, held in October/November every year. Results are usually published in the second week of March.

    Personality Test (Interview) - It is the final test and is held in April/May every year. Final results are usually announced a few days before the next preliminary examination.

    There is no registration link for the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in. You cannot register in this website to get notification or any other information.

    But if you want to register in any UPSC examination then go to the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in from this website you can register for a particular examination when notification will be available on the UPSC website.

    First you should visit the website of UPSC and download the notification and go through on this carefully. After that go to the registration website to register for a particular examination.

    The UPSC conducts various open competitive examinations for central government posts. First of all, Please mention the name of examination that you want to appear. Because the UPSC's various examinations are conducted throughout the year. Another thing is that for the procedure of registered to UPSC exams. Dear, You have to visit to the UPSC website www.upsconline.nic.in and then go to the Online Recruitment Application and registered your email and details as asked there. Then a registration Id and Password will be sent to your registered email and please open your email account and again you have to visit the website and put your reg. Id and password and then proceed as asked. Best of Luck

    dear,for know abou upsc exams visit to www.upsc.gov.in.upsc stand for union public services commision.upsc condut many exams such as psi, sti, asst.for that exam seperate exam wastaken

    Latest procedure is that you can register yourself through the online procedure by visiting the online link activated for the particualr examination at the time when the application's has been floated by the upsc.

    various upsc's examination helds throughout the year

    some examination 's and their eligibility which are conducted by upsc through out academic year just after your 10+2

    1.special class railway apprentices (physics,maths compulsory) once in a year.
    2.NDA for recuiting inn three armed forces irrespective of stream bi-annually age must be within 16.5-19 yrs.


    after you graduation:-

    you can appear for the examinations

    1.civil services examination (for IAS,IPS)

    whose eligibility criteria are :
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::
    You must be a citizen ofIndia,

    or, You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
    or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.


    You must be of 21 to 30 years of age. HOWEVER,there is a relaxation in the upper age limit,
    of 3 years for the OBCs
    and
    5 years for the SC/STs.


    You must have completed your Graduation orEquivalent,from a recognized university under any
    stream,or be a final year student in the same

    The number of attempts is 4 for a General category student,
    7 for an OBC candidate,and
    unlimited for a SC/ST candidate,until he fulfills the age criteria

    2. central police force (CPF) held once every year

    whose eligibilty criteria are

    1.university graduate of any stream either in final year/passed out with 55% in graduation

    2. age limit within 20-25 years relaxation in the upper age limit,
    of 3 years for the OBCs
    and
    5 years for the SC/STs.

    3.CDSE (for recruitments in three armed forces of indian union)

    exam conducted bi-annually

    in which age should be within 18-25 yrs.
    & one must be university graduate from recognised university

    there is no age relaxation for any cateogory
