    Hello,
It is not necessary, you should apply for other government exams. But, If you want to go for the reputed Administrative Jobs like Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service you have to appear in UPSC exam.

If you have degree of B.tech you will go for the Central Engineering Jobs or Indian Railway Service of Engineers etc. jobs.

    Wish you all the best,

    Dear Guest,

    * For central government's job you must appear in exams conducted by UPSC.

    * For state government jobs you must appear for exams conducted by state public service commission.

    * No ! There is no other way to get government job.

    Dear candidate,
IT IS NOT AT ALL COMPULSORY TO APPEAR THE UPSC EXAMS TO BAG A GOVERNMENT JOB.THEY JUST MAKE YOU OPT FOR THE BETTER GOVERNMENT POSTS.
BUT THERE ARE SURELY SOME OTHER EXAMS.

YOU CAN APPEAR FOR THE 'IBPS' BANK EXAMS FOR POSTS SUCH AS THE CLERK AND P.O. In REPUTED GOVERNMENT BANKS,IF YOU ACHIEVE GOOD RESULTS.

ALSO,THERE ARE MANY OTHER EXAMS SUCH AS THOSE CONDUCTED BY THE RAILWAYS FOR FILLING THE GRADE 'C' POSTS IN RAILWAYS.

THESE EXAMS CAN SURELY LAND YOU WITH THE DESIRED POST UNDER THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT.
    GOOD LUCK.

    Dear friend.

UPSC is not the only way to get the govt job.you have lot of other options at you disposal as well.

the difference is by writing exams conducted by the upsc you will get lot of coveted postings like IAS,IPS,IRS,IFS,IES etc..which you cannot get by writing other exams.

you have various options to join govt services.you can join in the establishments of DAE,dept of space, and lots more.you can join in banks and in 'n' number of postings.

for the vacancies and posts available just keep on looking in to the employment newspaper, daily newspaper, websites.

you can write those exams and get govt jobs.

    all the best
