    Which optional subject should I choose for Mains exam being a Biotechnology graduate?

    hello
    i studied msc biotechnology. What optionals did i choose for main examination to get rankings?

    UPSC consists many optional subject.

    it is nice that you are biotechnology graduate from a recognized university.
    for appearing upsc exam;-
    *you must be graduate from a recognized university.
    *age limit is 21-30 years.
    *you must be Indian citizen


    upsc exam consists three stages;-
    *preliminary
    *mains
    *interview


    according to my view,

    *you must choose those subject in which you have full knowledge.
    i means you choose your field related subject.

    Firstly go through the whole subject list which is given by the upsc. The list is given below

    Agriculture
    Management
    Animal Husbandry & Vet nary
    Science
    Mathematics
    Anthropology
    Mechanical Engineering
    Botany
    Medical Science
    Chemistry
    Philosophy
    Civil Engineering
    Physics
    Commerce & Accountancy
    Political Science &
    International Relations
    Economics
    Psychology
    Electrical Engineering
    Public Administration
    Geography
    Sociology
    Geology
    Statistics
    Indian History
    Zoology
    Any language subject

    Following subject do not took together
    Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration
    Commerce and Management
    Anthropology and Sociology
    Maths and Statistics
    Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Management and Public Administration
    Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science
    Any two branches of engineering


    according to your qualification you took the science subject from the optional subject.
