If you are interested in these two optional papers, then you can appear the examination in these both papers. Because i think these two papers are mark fixing papers and the most important thing is that you are interested in these papers. So it will be better to you, if you choose these two papers for your main examination of UPSC. Best of Luck.

You said that your interests are in Maths and Hindi.

But to appear for the CSE(Civil Service Examination), You need to select two optional subjects and an Indian language.

As you're interested in Hindi, you can take language as Hindi.

Apart from that, you've to take one the subjects from a list of 22 subjects.

But certain combinations are not allowed, like Maths and Statistics.

So you better go with the 'public administration' which has less content and so you can just crack it.

Yes you can choose these subjects

As for the union public services cse

Exam you have to choose the 2 optional subjects

And a language subjects so as hindi is a language subject

So choose hindi as a language subject

And also you have interest in maths so you can choose

Maths as one of the optional subject And choose one more

Optional subject as you need two optional subject for the exam

Choose the subject in which you are strong

And start preparing for the exam
