Is my decision right to leave my current job in a private sector company and prepare for PSU and IES exams? What if I don't clear these exams? How would be the career problems in future if I fail to qualify in such exams?

I am working in a private sector company from past one year with an average salary. I am not satisfied with my job profile and I don't see my growth as well. I am an electrical engineer with distinction. I want to quit this job and go for PSU and IES preparation. But I have some fear of loosing the job and future problems that might come if I don't clear the exams. Is it a good decision?? Shall I move with this decision? Also does gap of years matter for qualifying these exams since I am going to prepare for one year. Kindly help.

Sorry friend you have taken a wrong decision. For the Preparation of IES exam you should not have resign from your current jobs. You can also continue your preparation with the current jobs and your future is safe. If you don't clear the IES exam. You would come in financial crisis. So friend if possible don't leave the current jobs and continue your preparation.
