RT is not any special exam conducted by UPSC. RT exam means UPSC recruitment test. UPSc conducts various direct recruitment or special recruitment for posts such as
1) Medical officers- homeopathy, ayurveda
2) Teaching faculty in denfece colleges and other central govt. institutions
3) Vacancies in ministries like assistant director
etc.
such recruitment notification is released as a special recruitment notification. iN THAT notification, the posts for which recruitment is to be done will be released along with the requirements/eligibility conditions for such posts.
When a large number of candidates apply for the posts UPSC will conduct a written exam . This written exam will be scheduled on any one of the dates mentioned in UPSC calendar as UPSC RT exam. When there are limited number of vacancies UPSC will hold direct interview
