***Hi friend!!***I appreciate your dream of serving the nation.
You need to go through the 'Civil Service Exam', the most popular misnomer 'IPS exam'.
Firstly, you need to write Preliminary exam of Civil Service followed by Mains.
The qualification for the Civil Service is Graduation(Degree). So you need to complete your graduation(or final year student).
And the syllabus for the Mains is to select two subjects out of 23 optional subjects but a combo of same stream is avoided like (Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
And an Indian language out of 26 languages.
The list of 23 subjects and 26 languages is athttp://www.upsc.gov.in/general/civil.htm#CS (Main)
So overall you need to select 3subjects(2 optional and 1 language)
And you can also join a institute just 2years before writing the preliminary exam.
You should create your own time-table because proper planning and execution is more important for success.
More and more rehearsals are also important!
***I wish you all Success!!***
