Dear Aspirant,
~Its good to see a fire in you to crack the Civil Service Exams straight after your 10th board exams. Its always beneficial to choose your goal in earlier stages of life.
~These exams are conducted by the UPSC every year, for the enrollment of citizens in the highest civilian posts.
~I personally would recommend you to opt for ARTS STREAM after your class 10th if you are so determined.
~The arts Stream would keep you in good knowledge of the Vital subjects such as the INDIAN HISTORY,GEOGRAPHY,PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION and POLITICAL SCIENCE.
~These subjects are present in the list of optional subjects for the Mains exams of the Civil Services. Also these subjects are highly scoring and thereby even the Non-Arts subjects opt for these.
~The success rate of these subjects as compared to other subjects has been much higher in the past years.
~Also, the ARTS social subjects form the backbone of the Paper-1 of the preliminary exams. You can keep pace with all preparations for both the Mains and Preliminary exams together. This hands you a double advantage, and saves time in a better way.
~~If you are determined to reach your goal, and work hard, then there is no reason why you won't succeed.
Wish you luck!!
You can take any stream but if you only want to go for UPSC exam after Graduation then you can take Arts subjects which is easy than science and commerce subjects in UPSC exam.
But I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.
After that you have to go for the Question Pattern of Exam so you should download and print Previous Years Question Papers from www.upsc.gov.in

Hello Friend,
To me any one stream is preferable or there is no compulsory stream to became eligible
for UPSC examinations .
You have to take that stream in which you have more interest.
And if you already completed your graduation then you are eligible
to apply in UPSC examinations.
And if you really want a particular stream then i would like
to take name of arts stream
As the examinations of arts subjects are much more
easyer than any other streams.
I can suggest you to take
1)History
2)Geography
3)political science
4)social science
5)sociology
6)phylosophy
etc.
All the best....
There is no specific subjects to opt for UPSC examination but there is a more number of chances for Science Stream candidates because you can apply for other stream examination also . If you are belongs Commerce then you have less no. of chances .
For example :- If you are completed your 12th then you are eligible to apply for National Defence Academy Examination and this examination is conducted for Army wings , Navy wings and Air force wings .
If you are coming from science background then you are eligible to all apply for all these wings . But if you are belongs other stream then you are eligible to apply for Army wings Only . I think you now clear and same way of CDS Examination also .
But i am not forcing to you join Science stream but tell the fact to join Science Stream . Choice is yours .
although you're allowed to appear in the upsc examinations, if you're just a graduate degree holder from any recognised university. but, in my opinion, you should opt for Arts stream after the 10th standard, but that too only if you're interested in the arts' subjects. otherwise, opt for the one you're interested in. because choose the subjects that you're interested in, will help you in a better understanding of its concepts and that too in a comparatively lesser time period. hope it helps.
Hi dear
