Hi...friend
There is no relation between the subjects that you are studying in your b.tech
and the subjects that you can write in upsc exams
see upsc needs only graduates with any percenatage in any stream
from any university that is your wish
Coming age limit you must have between 21 to 30 years exactly
It provides age relaxation also
For bc's the reservation is upto 3 years
For sc's the reservation is upto 5 years
First of all you have to concentrate on your studies
After that you may go for crack upsc exam
any way good luck...
dear friend,
there is no subject in computer science which is related to UPSC exams.
you should need to concentrate on your B.Tech don't worry about subjects .
for UPSC you need only graduation in any field.
Good Luck..........
There is no common subject covered in youe B.Tech steam .
But for B.tech students there are two options like electrical engineering and mathematics, but are both tough.
Aout Preliminary exam One paper is General studies and anotheris your option to decide.
-->I will give tje information to prepare for general stdies (GS paper). You have 8 major areas to combined over general studies.like History,Geography, politics, science, economy, mental ability, current affairs and general knowledge.
ALL THE BEST

It is disadvantage for the CSE student .
You have to choose other two subject which is not related to CSE .
The following are the list of Optional subjects.
Agriculture
Management
Animal Husbandry & Vetinary Science
Mathematics
Anthropology
Mechanical Engineering
Botany
Medical Science
Chemistry
Philosophy
Civil Engineering
Physics
Commerce & Accountancy
Political Science & International Relations

In the above list i think Maths you will be select as one optional subject because you learned the maths in your graduation so it will become easy for you .
Other one subject will select based on your interest for example if you have interest in history then you will choose history as one optional subject .
So please take care while choosing the subject .

Dear Friend
There is not mentioned any particular stream for graduation in the upsc exam it only demands graduation from a government recognized university.
Thats all so dont worry if you are from the CS Engg.you can select it as the optional subject in the mains.
Best of Luck

dear friend ,
yes,
it is true that there is no any subject related to computer science so you should take another subjects in your examinations but as you are a student of engineering than a suggest you to take mathematics and physics as in main subjects .
but that doesn't mean that it is your weak point ,you just concentrate on your study because you need only two main subjects in mains examination .
best of luck
Hi Aspirant
Well sorry to say that their is no subject related to computer
In the upsc exam and you have to choose any two optional subject
For the upsc exam and it will depend on you rather than us
So better would be to choose your self
But normally the arts subjects are easy in both
Ways in reading as well in leaning and in scoring marks
The arts subjects are really good
But it will depend on you so choose the subjects
With your own choice
