Re: Is there any difference between Indian Navy and Merchant navy?

    Hello friend,

The Indian Navy is the Naval branch of the armed force of

    India.

The Merchant navy is a non combatant fleet, which deals with

    transporting cargo and occasionally passengers.

Indian navy serves the security of our country but

Merchant navy deals with the commercial purposes.

The main difference is that the Indian navy is totally

dependent of government but Merchant navy is fully private

    Organization.

    All the best........

There is vast difference in two things.

    1. merchant nay is non-combatant owned fully by private agencies deals with cargo shipping from one part to other part of world while indian navy is the combatant force of indian govt. which is gaurds our vast sea resources, prepared for any insurgency through the sea by any other nation.

    2. Indian navy depends upon central govt. alloted different subsidies, budget through the defence ministry of india while merchant navy are independent.

    3. merchant navy cargoships are can be owned by indian company or by other nations company which operate in other nation WHEREAS indian navy only managed by Indian govt.

    hai friend ,

yes there is a vast difference between the both jobs .
INDIAN NAVY = is the official government run defence force for the protection of civilian . its usually deals with the war like crises and is entirely a different stream of job .

MERCHANT NAVY = is usually a simple civilian run jobs like transportation , goods , exchange , etc. and usually a privatized firm . usually many firms and companies are involved in this activity /

    yes,
indian navy is the third defense of the country,
which works as a defense team,
whereas merchant navy is a private job,.
also they works to transport the good of one country to the other.
