Hello,
There is no relation between IITs and UPSC and no IIT provides UPSC specific study environment. The purpose of IITs is to enable students to do their graduation and post-graduation and also these institutes conduct research.
Since the curriculum in IITs is rigorous and requires a lot of analytical skills to pass the graduation, this helps IITians to develop a right frame of mind which helps them to crack IAS exam. So, my dear friend, it is the right approach and right frame of mind that will help you in cracking civil services exam. Moreover, there are lot of candidate who do not belong to IITs and still manage to get top ranks.
Thanks,

Hello
NO THERE IS NO SUCH RELATION BETWEEN THE IIT AND UPSC.
IIT is a institute which offers educational degree in mainly the technical field, like the B.TECH,M.TECH.
The UPSC is a body that is responsible for conducting several civil services like the IAS,IPS,IES etc.The UPSC is a organization that is mainly responsible for the different civil services exams along with defence services, medical services etc.
It is just a matter of co incident that there are many IPS officers who completed their B.TECH from the IIT.Also you know that IIT graduates have little bit of extra intelligence level and the same is required for the IPS,this fact is also in favour of the IIT.
Otherwise there is no connection between the IIT and the UPSC.
Dear Friend
IIT stands for the Indian Institute of technology. It is the best place or you can say that institute from where you can pursue your bachelor'/master's degree in tehcnology.UPSC stands for the Union Public service commission. It is the examination conducting authority of Indian responsible for organising examinations:
>>Civil services examinations
>>Indian Engineering services
>>Combined defense services
>>Combined medical services
>>SCRA and NDA exams and some more.
Friend, there is no relation between IIT and UPSC.Both are different entirely in all respects. The answer to your query that why most of the IAS,IPS officers are IITians.
It is very simple and obvious that candidates form the IIT are very hard working and they have strong determination towards their goals. They donot easily give up the chase. They are well aware of how to achieve success in Competitive exams conducted by the UPSC.
They have strong concepts and thinking skills for any subjects or matter.
These are few reasons which give them an edge over the general candidates from simple bachelor's degree in arts, science etc
Hope the information helps you.
all the best

Hello my dear friend.
There are not be any relation between IIT and UPSC .
There is only the difference of preparation . Every year Indian Institute of Technology has conducted the exam of JEE . The exam pattern is so tough . Only the top 5% students are able to qualifying it . This shows that how much these students work hard . This make them a very strong habit of hard work . After clearing the B.Tech degree , they are fully developed . For them , the exam pattern of IAS is not so tough .
For the IAS exam : The candidate must complete complete Bachelor degree . And the IITian Candidate have complete the Bachelor in Technology Degree . So , they are fully eligible for this .
All the best .
Well dear i should tell you that there is no relation between iit and upsc.as you are saying that iit students are selected in large numbers in civil services because they are very hard working and there state of mind is also very high.if you do hard work you can also get selected.thank you

No there is no relationship between IAS and IIT''s.
You just have checked out only those who are from IIT but there are still more IAS/IPS who are from medical, arts background.
As IIT's are more hard working so that can be the answer to your ques.
HI!!!
I am a student from IIT Roorkee. Trust me there is no connection in study pattern. Both the exams are entirely different. The only common thing is the level of effort and passion to crack an exam which is the same since the person is the same. He knows hard work is the only key to success. Nothing else pays you in the end.
