>> you can surely do it with first try itself but for that it requires more preparation.

No,Hindi is not necessary but you should be well verse with your mother tongue comes or one of the national lanuage(15 lauguages are National Lauguages ).

it is difficult to crack the upsc exam with the very first attempt but it is not impossible.
There are many people who have cleared their IAS exam in their very first attempt and stood a great position. Although it is recommended that a 2 year intense and devoted preparation is needed to be an IAS but if you have a very strong desire to succeed and you if you can give all your hard work in the exam then you can clear the exam in the very first attempt
