    Dear Aspirant
As you have done your Graduation with BA then you don't need any additional coarse to appear in IPS Exam, because for IPS exam the main eligibility criteria is Graduation..
you also want to know that what to read?
Then I must suggest you that you have to get a grip over General knowledge by reading newspaper and monthly magazines.
you can also read NCERT book for best results.

As such no course needed after graduation unless if your wish. But if you have any additional courses done then it will surely add value in your evaluation. After you clear the exam there will be a probation training by UPSC at Lala bahadur shastri academy of public administration.

please go through the eligibility criteria:

    - Graduation from govt. recognized university.

    - Indian citizenship

    - Age of 21 to 30 years.

    - Age relaxation of 3 and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST category.

for IPS you need graduation degree from recognized college or university with any percentage. So you need not to do extra course or training to apply for IPS. you can also apply for the post while appearing in final year of graduation.

IPS is considered the one of the top posts of INDIA. IPS post is considered prestigious and IPS officer gets lots of facilities.

to become an IPS officer you have to apply for Civil Services exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC.

for exam your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. There is also available relaxation in upper age limit according to government norms as 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Civil Services exam is conducted in three phases and you have to clear all the phases to become an IAS officer.
The three phases are CSAT(Prelims), Mains and Interview

there is also applicable limit of number of attempts like 4 for General, 7 for OBC and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/ST candidates.

UPSC has provided the facility to apply for the exam online. the fill application form visit: http://upsconline.nic.in/

    Good Luck......
